Making or changing the questions in the Test Editor

Making a test in the TestMaker

“TestMaker allows you to recall pre-made tests from “Picklists” or construct new tests to add to the Picklists.  Alternatively, a specified number of questions may be randomly selected by the software.  These tests would be based on the Method and Level selected.  In either case the tests may be taken on the computer screen or may be printed as a hardcopy.

Selecting to run a test on screen can be done with correct answers provided after each response, or with just a final mark and no answers provided.”

This Version 2.0.1 of WinTmaker has made several modifications to the previous version (Version 1.1.0).

• ProblemSolver Software has now been incorporated with the WinTmaker
  
  the “oscilloscope” icon activates this feature
  Eddy Current, radiography and ultrasonic ProblemSolvers are included to help with math solutions to NDT problems
• A “Personalised Entry Box” for registering user identification is now part of the WinTmaker Configuration features. This allows a user to put the company name or personal information on a printed exam (top left of question page with the date and time).
• A provision has been made to add a note to the bottom of the question page that indicates a unique number to the test to afford tracking the page of that particular test. This is a “serial number” so pages of the test are identified to be with that test. Alternatively the new personal information box in the WinTmaker Configuration can be used to enter the student name or any other exam identification means. The test identification number appears at the bottom left of the printed pages associated with that test and again at the top of the answer sheet to ensure the questions and answers can be associated.
• Identification of question type (e.g. MPI, LPI, RT, etc.) is now identified on the bottom of the page along with the Level of difficulty that the questions were extracted from.
• By holding the “Shift” key and clicking with the left mouse button while selecting the Type and Level of questions desired from the WinTmaker Testmaker section you can select questions from multiple Levels and Types.

No extra questions have been added to the database and any errors or changes can be altered by the user with the WinTmaker Editor.
